In 2006 the existing hangar at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford was refurbished to change its size and shape. The roof construction was of a structural metal decking spanning between the steel trusses with built-up aluminium standing seam roofing system rolled on site by Rigidal Systems Limited. The wall cladding was a continuation of the roof system with standard built-up trapezoidal cladding to the hangar doors and beneath the bow strings.
